Jacqueline A. Eberstein, R.N. is a registered nurse who has more than 40 years of experience both personally and clinically using a low carbohydrate approach. She has managed her own health to avoid type 2 diabetes and morbid obesity: both conditions that run in her family.
For almost 30 years she worked closely with Dr. Robert Atkins. At the time of Dr. Atkins’ death in 2003, she was the Director of Medical Education at The Atkins Center for Complementary Medicine. Her experiences were wide ranging including the education of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nutritionists on the principles and protocols of the Atkins Lifestyle and Complementary Medicine.
She has written numerous articles, lectured internationally and co-authored the New York Times best-seller Atkins Diabetes Revolution.
Her experience is focused on personalizing a low carbohydrate plan to address weight management for a lifetime, evaluating risk factors for lifestyle related conditions and coaching both men and women to learn how to change their interactions with food.
Her special interests include women’s health issues. They include weight management and hormone changes, PCOS and assisting both men and women in the all important task of normalizing weight before conceiving a child.
Her program does not replace or treat medical conditions or replace the family doctor but rather offers specialized coaching in making lifestyle changes to prevent disease and enhance well-being.

This low carb coaching program is designed to provide you with a personalized low carb plan to help you reach and maintain a healthy weight. Many chronic conditions are impacted or even caused by excessive weight gain and poor diet. You can decrease your risks of such conditions as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, some cancers, Alzheimer’s and a whole host of others by changing what you put in your mouth.
Studies have shown that regardless of which diet is used people are more successful in the long term with added support. The purpose of this plan is to offer you the opportunity to address your weight and health with on-going coaching. It will focus not only on food choices but to help you to learn a new set of strategies to avoid pitfalls that led to failure in the past.
Once you are beyond the initial 6 week commitment you have the opportunity to continue to work with me to achieve your goals.

Note that there may be medications that need to be adjusted when following a low carb approach that will prevent me from working with you. If that’s the case I’ll refer you to one of the physicians.
Many doctors encourage their patients to lose weight to decrease the risk of chronic illness and improve their quality of life. Unfortunately, most doctors rarely have the training or time to design or provide on-going support to assist in reaching this goal. This is where a personal coach can be valuable. This program in no way replaces the relationship you have with your doctor nor provides medical diagnosis or treatment. As with any weight loss plan it is recommended you consult with your doctor before beginning.
